John Compernolle is the Market Executive for Bank of America’s Chicago / Illinois Commercial Banking Department. John manages eleven client teams which provide banking and advisory services to over 600 clients in Chicago and Select Midwestern states. John’s teams are responsible for all aspects of client management.
From 1998-2006 John was a Senior Client Manager responsible for approximately 25 strategic relationships in Bank of America’s Commercial Banking Strategy Group. John was responsible for all aspects of client relationships including capital raising, capital management and advisory services.
From 1995 to 1998, John was a Team Leader responsible for a special industry unit which focused on providing relationship management and banking services to health care-related entities, higher education, cultural, social service and other 501(c) 3 organizations in the Midwest.
John joined Continental Bank in 1982 and, after a brief assignment in the Bank’s Trust Department, successfully completed the Commercial Banking Training Program. From 1984 to 1992, he was responsible for providing banking services to other financial institutions, including bank holding companies and mutual funds.
Born in 1960, he received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1982 and his M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola University’s Graduate School of business in 1991 with distinction. John holds Series 7, 63 and 24 NASD licenses’. John serves on The Board of Directors Junior Achievement of Chicago and Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Chicago. John lives in Wilmette, IL with his wife, Joan, and their three children, Michael, Claire and James. John’s interests include golf, swimming, spectator sports and coaching (basketball and baseball).
