Ken Daubenspeck is President of Daubenspeck and Associates, Ltd.; an executive search firm that provides retained executive recruiting, assessment and selection for a broad range of clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies and blue chip professional service firms, to pre-IPO emerging technology companies and small to medium size entrepreneurial businesses.
Before entering business, Ken served in the western pacific fleet of the United States Nuclear Submarine Navy. Ken joined the banking practice of EDS; where he led an information technology department before entering the executive search business in 1980 and started Daubenspeck and Associates in 1982. In the mid 1980s Ken managed the information technology search practice for a medium-size, Chicago-based, executive search firm. After tripling that firm’s revenues in two years, Ken returned to Daubenspeck and Associates in 1989.
Ken has long been considered an expert source on trends in employment. He has been featured in Wall Street Journal, Information Week, Computer World, CIO Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, and interviewed on WGN, ABC and the Chicago Business Journal Show. Daubenspeck and Associates was listed by Crain’s Chicago Business as being one of The Top 25 Largest Executive Search Firms in Chicago. He has been a speaker at various technology and career related events, including such noted organizations as Financial Executives Network and the Society for Information Management.
Daubenspeck and Associates has joined the Gow and Partners World Network in order to better serve its clients’ needs outside the United States.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University and has served as Alumni Board Chairman for DePaul University’s School for New Learning. Ken is an active member of the Society for Information Management, The Executives Club of Chicago, The Association of Executive Search Consultants and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement.
