Tom Detelich is a group general manager and group executive, HSBC Finance Corporation. In this role, Detelich leads consumer and mortgage lending for HSBC North America Holdings Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc (NYSE:HBC), one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations. Detelich is responsible for the strategic planning, growth and daily operations of the HFC and Beneficial brands, the company’s direct lending business, HSBC Mortgage Services and HSBC Mortgage Corporation.
Before becoming group executive, Detelich was managing director of consumer lending with responsibility for the company’s 1,300-branch HFC and Beneficial network. In that position, he also was instrumental in the implementation of the company’s state-of-the-art branch network lead management system. He was named managing director at Beneficial. Before that, he was managing director of HFC and regional general manager of consumer lending. Detelich joined HSBC in 1997 through the acquisition of Transamerica. He held several management positions in his 21 years there, becoming executive vice president of branch operations in 1997.
Detelich is a member of the board of directors’ executive committee of Junior Achievement of Chicago.
He received a bachelor’s degree in management and business administration from Redlands University.
