Mr. Doheny is Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Reyes Holdings, LLC, a privately held company based in Rosemont, Illinois.  With revenues in excess of $9 billion per year, Reyes is the largest privately held company in Chicago and among the largest in the United States.  Reyes Holdings specializes in food and beverage distribution and is among the world’s largest distributors to McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway and broadline foodservice customers through its Martin-Brower and Reinhart FoodService subsidiaries.  Reyes serves more than 30,000 customers in 7 countries in North, Central and South America.  Reyes is also the largest beer wholesaler in the United States distributing products for Miller, Coors, Corona, Heineken, Guinness and many other brands. 

 

Mr. Doheny has overseen all financial aspects of the business including acquisition due diligence, financing, reporting, internal controls, capital investments and budgeting and has played a key role in strategy development, legal, information technology and human resources.  Since joining Reyes in 2000, revenues have grown 250%.

 

Prior to joining Reyes, Mr. Doheny spent more than 16 years with KPMG LLP in Chicago, IL and Montvale, NJ; 6 years as an audit partner.  While with KPMG, Mr. Doheny established, and was Partner in Charge of the Audit Committee Institute; as such he advised boards of directors around the world as to their roles and responsibilities in the board room, with particular emphasis on their finance and accounting responsibilities.  Mr. Doheny also served as Partner in charge of the transportation practice within KPMG’s Midwest Area. 

 

Mr. Doheny graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in accountancy in 1984 and passed the CPA exam in May 1984.  In addition to his leadership roles with the many Reyes Holdings companies, he is chairman of the board of directors of the Special Olympics of Illinois, President of the Chicago Chapter of the Lumen Institute and a member of the Illini Leadership Council.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Chicago Economic Club, Financial Executives International and the University of Illinois President’s Council.
