IDEX Corporation is the world leader in fluid-handling technologies for positive displacement pumps and metering products, analytical and clinical diagnostic instrumentation.  The company also manufactures dispensing equipment for color formulation, and other highly engineered products including fire suppression equipment, rescue tools and specialty products. Background:

Mr. Kingsley was appointed Chairman and CEO of IDEX Corporation in April of 2006.  He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of IDEX Corporation in March 2005, having served as Chief Operating Officer at the company since July 2004.  Prior to joining IDEX, he progressed through a series of increasingly responsible operating positions at Danaher Corporation, including Corporate Vice President and Group Executive for the combined controls and sensors businesses; President of the Industrial Controls group; and President, motion group - special purpose systems.

Prior to Danaher, Mr. Kingsley held several positions of increasing responsibility with Kollmorgen Corporation, including Vice President and General Manager for European operations of the industrial and commercial products division.  Mr. Kingsley and his family resided in Europe for three years while he executed this assignment.  Prior to Kollmorgen, Mr. Kingsley was Vice President of marketing and sales for Weidmuller Incorporated, a subsidiary of C.A. Weidmuller, GmbH. 

In addition to the positions described, Mr. Kingsley has held positions in manufacturing, supply chain management and engineering.

He holds an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering and management from Clarkson University and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Mr. Kingsley’s background is in a variety of industries including various  manufacturing segments, the process industries, high volume commercial electronics, capital equipment for business to business and consumer segments, and various other commercial fields. 

Mr. Kingsley has familiarity with complex marketing and sales structures, channel models and multiple brand strategies.  He has operated global businesses with operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.  He has experience in developing growth strategies as well as extracting cost synergies.  He also has significant experience acquiring and integrating industrial and high technology businesses.
